The Story of My Shoes

Shoes were born in ancient times. Human beings have been wearing them since they were invented. Along with the progress of society, shoes together with the human stepped into tens of thousands of households. With time, shoes’ style has been changing, from “straw shoes” during ancient times to the modern types such as sports shoes , mountain climbing shoes, hiking shoes, leather shoes, cloth shoes, slipper, sandals, boots, etc., and even more fashionable, “crystal shoes” or “diamond shoes”. You can see that NIKE Blazer shoes are popular with lots of groups.
Speaking of shoes, I always feel miserable. I have been living in poor conditions from a very young age. I remember my grandpa mainly wore straw shoes or cotton shoes at his age. Those shoes are self-made. Straw shoes have several types. Some are made up of reeds and straw. Later rubber shoes appeared.
Under most circumstances, Straw shoes are worn in spring, summer and autumn. Cloth shoes or cotton shoes are very valuable at that time. They are generally worn in winter because people do not need to go out to work in snowing days.
In the era of my father or the liberation period, farmers are divided into teams and worked together. Foods are distributed according to laborers. People at that time usually wear Jiefang shoes-kind of durable rubber shoes used in army when training. . Straw shoes are put on only when people go on heavy physical labor. What is Nike Rift? People at that time don’t know, some even don’t know what Nike is.
Living conditions get better now. My family is still not better off than others at my age. I was born in the 1980s in a small village to the west of Zhejiang province. So far, my hometown still is the poorest place in Zhejiang province because traffic is inconvenient and our economy development depends on crops. If it is not a harvest year, people can barely support themselves. Young people in our village all move into cities to make chances. Even a replica Nike Sports Swear would be a luxury for them because In fact, as migrant workers, they are not able to save much money either. However, it is better than laboring at home. People at the same age are not well educated in my village. Take myself for example; I even have not yet gotten a primary school diploma. Entering the school at eight-year-old, I dropped out at 12-year-old. It is not because that I don’t like study but because my family can not afford the tuition fee. I was educated only four years in total. Tuition fee was only RMB 30 to 40 for one semester at that time. When I dropped out of school, I still had a semester tuition fee unpaid. Think about the past and take a look at now; I...
My father and mother divorced because they could not tolerate each other’s temper when I was 12 years old. My father then became a migrant employees and rarely back home. So I was left at home alone. I had to keep cattle for wealthy people so that I could stuff my belly.
Divorce may be a quite normal phenomenon to modern people. But in those days, it is incredible to rural people. However, what makes me miserable is that my mother never comes back to see me or buy me a living supplies after the divorce. From then on, I became a semi-orphan. I only had a pair of Jiefang shoes available on the feet throughout the year. At first, the shoes were all right. No matter how good the shoes are, they will be worn by bad treatment over time. You can not imagine what a pair of good shoes means to me. All what I want is a replica Nike Shox Shoes but I had to have my Jiefang put on in raining days, in snowing days, on heavy road and on hills. At last, several worn holes appeared in front of the shoes. Several toes were exposed outside when I had them put on. In order to make these shoes be able to be available for a longer time, I would like to be barefoot when it is a little warmer. Barefoot at home or on flat road, it was ok for me. It would put me in an unenviable position when in hills (Due to the cattle, I had to follow cattle all the time). My feet were often hurt by barbed branches, broke stones on hills. My feet bled much often. But I though it was worth at that time.
Having seen other children peers wearing cloth shoes and cotton knitted shoes made by their mothers, I desired a pair of such shoes even in my dreams. My dream did not realize until a very long period of time. I lived frugally. I raised some chicken. When they grew up, they gave birth to quite a few eggs a day. I never ate those eggs. I sold them to save money. At the end of the year of my 12-year-old, I bought a pair of replica Nike Basketball, using the money I raised from cattle pasture and keeping chicken. That day, I did not sleep for fear of missing my new shoes at the moment I went to fall sleep. It was the most happiness time when I had my new shoes in my hug. In the following days, I often dreamed that my new shoes were broken or lost. I often cried in my dreams and woke up at midnight. (To be continued)
